Alister Atkin Troubadour H28 Mini guitar

Alister Atkin is not only a passionate English Luthier, he is a singer songwriter as well and he surely is entitled to an opinion on tone. His guitars can easily be compared to those of  famous American makers, and i ensure you they grasp you by the throat at the first strum. Some guitars have got "IT", some don't, Alisters guitars sure have 'IT'.  They come with that passionate and certain extra that you only find in really good guitars.

This Troubadour is one of his latest models, a mini guitar, but a serious competitor among her bigger sister. Much like the Collings Baby and the Santa Cruz Firefly, a traveler guitar if you want but even more a singer-songwriter guitar. So easy to compose songs with at the Kitchen table, but also a serious recording- and performers guitar. 14 frets to the body, minimalist design, but very detailed on close look. Incredibly powerful, don't think a smaller guitar sounds 'smaller' it doesn't, anyway not this one- the tone spectrum of this Troubadour even makes her more present then bigger guitars. In the end I'm sure you hear more troubadour then dreadnought when played next to each-other in a theater.

The guitar is very detailed with beautiful natural finish, selected and extra nicely grained rosewood back and sides, a premium sitka spruce top, all solid woods of course, with mahogany neck ebony fingerboard and bridge, and a design that is reminds a little bit of a cross between Santa Cruz Firefly and George Lowden's S model. (but quite a bit smaller!)  With figured maple binding, Herringbone purfling, beautiful rosewood peghead overlay. what a joy to play.

Features include 612mm or 24.1" scale length, 43.6mm or 1 23/32" nut width  and 55mm or 2 1/8" string spacing at the bridge, Solid Sitka spruce top, Solid East Indian Rosewood back & sides, curly maple binding, Chevron back-strip, Pre-war scalloped bracing, Herringbone purfling, nitrocellulose lacquer finish, Mahogany Neck, Ebony fingerboard and bridge, Rosewood peghead overlay, Mother of pearl Atkin Logo, Side dot fingerboard markers, adjustable Double action truss rod, Bone nut and drop-in saddle Ebony bridge pins and end pin, Nickel Grover Sta-tite tuners. Phenomenal tone, and a deluxe Hiscox-Atkin case are included.
