Kay N3 Electric Archtop 1950s (consignment) PRICE DROP

The 1950s certainly brought us some great and legendary music, artists and of course guitars. Besides all the vintage Gibson and Fenders we get to see every day here at TFOA one might forget there were of course plenty more manufacturers active during that era. The Kay Musical Instrument Company was formally established in 1931 and through the mysts of time have brought to our shop this N3 hollowbody electric archtop constructed somewhere in the 1950s. It features laminated arched maple back and laminated maple sides, laminated arched spruce top, narrow 2-tone burst finish, rosewood compensated bridge, trapeze-style tailpiece, comfortable figured maple neck (also finished in the burst finish), plated tuners and newer rosewood pickguard. And how can you not love the metal Kay logo inlay on the headstock? A great sounding and playing archtop both acoustically and amplified using the Floating pickup mounted in the neck position. For those looking for something vintage and "different" with great character, this might be your stop! Includes period correct hardshell case.

Condition is excellent, 9,3 out of 10 with much less playwear than one would expect with a guitar this age, no cracks/problems, pickguard and nut are newer, frets have been replaced.
