1940 Gibson SJ-100 Sunburst rare vintage guitar

For Gibson flat-top lovers it doesn’t get much better than this a late 1939 or early 1940 Gibson J100 in sunburst finish with stairstep Pickguard and no cracks whatsoever! One of the first big bodied Jumbo models with Mahogany back and sides and red spruce top with sunburst finish, and it's a rare- even better very rare guitar. Few were built, and of those is now available at TFOA, and it's a phenomenal guitar and i'm sure not many out there, and not many out there in better condition than this beauty, and for sure it would be hard to find a better sounding Gibson than this one.
With loads of headroom, amazing trebles, a bass responsive that is impressive to say the least and a mid section that growls and keept growling harder the harder you strum it. It offers the perfect balance and sustain, rich overtones, and powerful basis, considering the large body size, its amazing how well balanced this guitar is.
Sunburst finish on all sides with of a bit of virtually invisible retouch clear coat really on the edges and sides only on the dark parts treble sides, mahogany back, one side patch, and neck; spruce top, soft V-neck
With older Guild Jumbo Case..  Please call for a hands on description
