R&R MJ-3C Mini Jumbo Cocobolo Mastergrade Red Cedar

This is the 19th guitar from the 2nd batch of 10 - developed in collaboration between Roman Zajicek and Rudi Bults, old guitar friends, Roman is the master luthier with over 30 years experience and Rudi the connoisseur (and owner of TFOA) and probably needs no further introduction. The basis for this project was a mutual desire to develop a guitar at the highest level that can compete with guitars from brands like for example Collings and Santa Cruz hopefully with a little magic like often found in Wayne Henderson and Blazer & Henkes guitars. The combination of Rudi's knowledge on guitar techniques and innovations combined with the unique talent Roman has is what makes R & R.

This time a medium jumbo with a cutaway. The guitar is similar in size to a Lowden F, Mcilroy A, Taylor Grand Auditorium, Martin J or GPCPA, Collings SJ- or Ryan Nightingale. Features include a Master Grade Red Cedar top and selected cocobolo back and sides, herringbone trim ebony fingerboard- and bridge with ebony bridge pins and ebony endpin, flamed maple binding, abalone snowflake and R & R abalone torch, Honduras mahogany neck. What sets the R&R guitar apart are for example the use of master-grade tone-wood, Jescar Gold frets, the unique X bracing, scalloped, and even more special- the neck, which is reinforced with a double standing Carbon bar combined to a truss-rod. These carbon bar simulates the T-Bar found in pre-war Martin guitars and provides endless sustain and resonance. Of course, the guitar features Waverley tuners and detailing up to standards. The guitar is extremely responsive, resonant and balanced, sounds big and lush and has perfect desperation. including Case.
