Couesnon Model 3054 Gypsy Flattop

This Couesnon is a gypsy style archtop from the 1950’s fully hand-made by one of France's most appreciated luthiers. Features a spruce top, and maple back/sides. The top is a bit fallen, but still it plays very well. Its punchy and loud and indeed a very rarely seen guitar. The neck is made out of mahogany and it features an ebony fretboard which shows playwear. The tuners are original only the D and G buttons have been replaced for newer ones. There are signs of a previous pickguard on this rare Couesnon gypsy jazz guitar, this means that there are two holes to the fretboard on both sides and there is one spot to the treble side next to the cutaway and next to the F-hole. This guitar currently has a high set up, and a neck reset is advisable. Besides that is this rare Couesnon Gypsy archtop from the 1950’s in excellent condition. No cracks to the body, and featuring original bridge, tuners, frets and tailpiece.
