Gibson Army & Navy Special style GY Sheraton Brown, vintage guitar ca. 1918

This is the very first Flattop Guitar that Gibson made and it's rare, very rare, specially in this nice condition. They are made between 1918 and 1921 history tells us, before this guitar they only made archtop guitars and mandolins. And man this is a very nice example! A crackfree Army and Navy special  model GY with Sheraton brown original finish. This is a no frills guitar, there is no rosette and thera are no inlays, these guitars where made for the Army & Navy and only needed to be functional quality. Features include maple back/sides and  neck, Spruce top, neck with typical V profile and it's a handful. 13 fret neck joint, 625mm scale (24.25″) with 45mm (1.3/4″) nut width. maple back and sides. No binding. 342mm (13 1/2″) wide body reminds of the later Gibson L1, original bridge and original tailpiece with 1910 Patent number, tuners are replaced, plays well and sounds AMAZING! Crackfree condition with evidence of an old repaired center seam separation, very clean guitar, Strung with steel strings 011-052, 1920′s case included.
