Howell & Forsyth SFC, 2006

At first sight it is a simple guitar, but a closer look reveals a minimalist beauty and a very stylish high-end guitar. While playing the guitar most certainly a smile will fancy your face, this is probably the only one in Europe.  Only 6 H&F have been imported (back in 2009/2010, and all are sold by our shop. (For the right perspective, they were Priced around € 6000) Josh Howell and David Forsyth Schooler are most intriguing Californian luthiers that make both steel string and classical guitars. The SFC model is- compared to many other US high-end guitarmakers a most exquisite guitar, made of top grade tone-woods combined with superb craftsmanship and a very appealing vision on guitar-making! Only the best is good enough. Innovative and progressive guitarmaking where lessons of the past are combined with modern innovations that have proven themselves.

The voice of the guitar is truly amazing, each string appears to be separately amplified in a perfect balance with clear trebles, a powerful bass support, and with an almost perfect powerful reverbing midrange. A comparison with a piano is evident. The projection is harmonious and the dynamics are impressive. Also typical for this guitar is the light weight, similar to that of early Martin and Gibson guitars. Featuring: Honduras mahogany back and sides, Sitka Spruce top, Honduras mahogany one-piece neck, ebony fingerboard, ebony bridge with six separate intonated bone saddles, beautiful ebony headstock overlay, ebony body binding with 4 layer purfling, 2 piece back purfling  46 mm nut width (1 13/16 ") at the nut, 57 mm fingerspacing at the bridge and 650mm scale length, with a luxury original case! By the way the guitar is mint condition!
