Gibson J-45 Vine Ren Ferguson 1999

This is a Gibson J-45, called 'Vine' But it not the regular production J-45 Vine that was released much later, This one is marked R F on the bridge, Ren Feruguson's signature, at the time the Gibson Master Luthier leading the Montana Gibson plant back in the days, more precise, the bridge dot is inlaid with 'RF' and a Hummingird on the other Dot, showing Ren's involvement in this guitar.  When Ren Ferguson is involved, the guitar is typically a high end guitar, not only the tone, but also the high end detailing make this guitar stand out, seen in the beautiful choice of pearl/abalone inlay, especially the yellow abalone soundhole inlay matching the gold engraved tuners, the excquisite quality of the tree of life inlay.

Later on in the 2000's this 'Vine' model was released in another small edition but in 1998 - 1999 only 9 of these guitars were made for both the NAMM and Frankfurt messe. The 'Vine' or 'tree of life' was still inlaid by hand. How i found the guitars? Two German friends traded me the guitars, they bought it from a German shop after the messe. (one CL model and one J-45 Vine model/both up for sale now) - The guitar features obviously very nice premium/selected indian Rosewood back and sides and premium sitka spruce top, The incredibly detailing of the vine or tree of life fretboard inlay on this Gibson J-45 Vine Rosewood acoustic guitar is a stylish mixture of abalone and mother-of-pearl. noted should be the Engraved tuning machines and the multibound top and rosette adds to the artistry, measures 628mm (24 3/4") scale, 43.9mm ( 1 23/32") width at the nut. From history and experience i know that guitars were Ren Ferguson was involved in are highly valued among collectors.

This is an excellent sounding guitar with little wear, some typical Gibson weather checking, and a deluxe Gibson case.!
