Guild D20 Vintage Sunburst 2021
De D20 is een dreadnought die geheel is opgebouwd uit massief mahonie voor het bovenblad en de klankkast. Het model is al sinds de introductie in 1968 onderdeel van de Guild en is met zijn zeer dunne nitrocellulose finish een zeer resonante en levendige gitaar die prettig aanvoelt en speelt. Het geluid heeft meer dan voldoende volume, en beschikt over een prominent middengebied met iets minder helderheid dan een gitaar met sparren bovenblad, maar het geluid is zeker niet modderig te noemen!
Deze D20 uit 2021 is voorzien van een Vintage Sunburst-finish, en is door Guild verder uitgerust met zeer bescheiden decoraties zoals een rozet in vintage stijl, parelmoer stipinleg op de palissander toets en het eveneens parelmoer Guild Peak-logo op de headstock. De hals heeft een prettig C-profiel en zorgt samen met de afgeronde contouren van de toets en body voor een comfortabele speelervaring.
De gitaar heeft speelsporen in de vorm van glanzend geworden lak op het bovenblad, de klankkast en de achterzijde van de hals, en er is een strap button aangebracht op de hiel. De gitaar is verder zeer schoon en wordt met TFOA paspoort en echtheidscertificaat geleverd in een koffer.
The D20 is a dreadnought constructed entirely of solid mahogany for the top and soundboard. The model has been part of the Guild since its introduction in 1968 and, with its very thin nitrocellulose finish, is a very resonant and lively guitar that feels and plays pleasantly. The sound has more than enough volume, and features a prominent midrange with slightly less clarity than a guitar with spruce top, but the sound certainly cannot be called muddy!
This 2021 D20 features a Vintage Sunburst finish, and is further equipped by Guild with very modest decorations such as a vintage-style rosette, mother-of-pearl dot inlays on the rosewood fingerboard and the also mother-of-pearl Guild Peak logo on the headstock. The neck has a pleasant C profile and, together with the rounded contours of the fingerboard and body, ensures a comfortable playing experience.
The guitar has playing marks in the form of glossy lacquer on the top, back and sides and back of the neck, and a strap button has been applied to the heel. The guitar is otherwise very clean and comes with TFOA passport and certificate of authenticity in a hardshell case.
Die D20 ist eine Dreadnought-Gitarre, die für Decke und Resonanzboden komplett aus massivem Mahagoni gefertigt ist. Das Modell gehört seit seiner Einführung im Jahr 1968 zur Guild und ist mit seiner sehr dünnen Nitrocellulose-Lackierung eine sehr resonante und lebendige Gitarre, die sich angenehm anfühlt und spielt. Der Klang hat mehr als genug Volumen und zeichnet sich durch markante Mitten aus, die zwar etwas weniger klar sind als bei einer Gitarre mit Fichtendecke, aber als matschig kann man den Klang sicher nicht bezeichnen!
Diese 2021 D20 ist in Vintage Sunburst lackiert und wurde von Guild mit sehr dezenten Verzierungen wie einer Rosette im Vintage-Stil, Perlmutt-Punkteinlagen auf dem Palisandergriffbrett und dem ebenfalls perlmuttfarbenen Guild Peak Logo auf der Kopfplatte ausgestattet. Der Hals hat ein angenehmes C-Profil und sorgt zusammen mit den abgerundeten Konturen von Griffbrett und Korpus für ein komfortables Spielerlebnis.
Die Gitarre weist Spielspuren in Form von Glanzlack auf der Decke, dem Boden, den Zargen und der Rückseite des Halses auf, und an der Ferse wurde ein Gurtknopf angebracht. Die Gitarre ist ansonsten sehr sauber und wird mit TFOA-Pass und Echtheitszertifikat in einem Hartschalenkoffer geliefert.
