Enkele keren per jaar brengt Ernie Ball Music Man een serie gitaren uit onder de naam Ball Family Reserve. Deze gitaren worden in een gelimiteerde oplage aangeboden en zijn een eerbetoon aan het vakmanschap van het merk. Ze zijn een variatie op de bestaande modellen door middel van het gebruik van de mooiste houtsoorten en afwerkingen.Â
De Music Man BFR Valentine Carmelo heeft een essenhouten body en een 'roasted' esdoorn hals die door de matte afwerking makkelijk te bespelen is. Ter verfraaiing van de in prachtig 'butterscotch' afgewerkte body zijn een binding en slagplaat van tortoise gekozen. Op het gebied van geluid is de gitaar voorzien van twee speciale 'Ranger'-humbuckers die door middel van een schakelaar ook als single coil zijn te gebruiken. De tonale veelzijdigheid wordt nog verder uitgebreid door de aanwezigheid van een Bigsby B5.
Deze Music Man Valentine is nummer 14 uit de gelimiteerde oplage van 55 stuks wereldwijd en wordt samen met een echtheidscertificaat geleverd in een koffer. De gitaar heeft een klein lakscheurtje bij de hiel en is daarom aangemerkt als B Stock.

In terms of sound, the guitar is equipped with two special 'Ranger' humbuckers that can also be used as a single coil by means of a switch. The tonal versatility is further enhanced by the presence of a Bigsby B5.
