The Private Stock Modern Eagle V utilizes a humbucker/single/humbucker pickup configuration and introduces a new and unique switching system that gives players a wide range of tones in one guitar. The 5-way switch selects the pickups just like the 509. The two paired mini-switches separate the slug-side coils, turning the humbuckers into true, "TCI-tuned" single coils.
This PRS has one volume knob and a push/pull tone knob that activates both humbuckers when turned on; this gives players access to three pickups at once.
