IMPORTANT CITES UPDATES!

As we all know, the CITES regulations have been keeping the guitar-world on the edge of their seat for quite some time now. Luckily, some updates have been made and we're finally heading in the right direction!

In this video underneath, Coen will shortly explain the changes that have been made to the CITES regulations. If you would like more information, here's a link to the CITES-Website! --> cites.org

No! If your guitar or instrument was made before 2nd January 2017, you won’t need any certification to travel with your guitar. In addition, the law only requires you to produces a CITES Certificate if you’re carrying over 10kg of Rosewood, which is highly unlikely :)

I hope this helps, all the best!

My Gibson R8 from 2009 has a beautiful rosewood fretboard. What do you think? Do I need some kind of CITES documentation? Didn't get any from the previous owner... all I have is the Gibson CoA. maybe that's why he sold it to me for €2k a few years ago?
