After two albums laced with funk and disco, young musician Prince Rogers Nelson became the master of the "Minneapolis Sound" in 1980 with his third full-length, aptly named Dirty Mind. Prince, who would soon be nicknamed "The Kid from Minneapolis," devoted his life to an exuberant and varied musical production.

Prince traversed the 1980s with his trademark mischievousness and daring. Having achieved great success (with 'Little Red Corvette', 'Purple Rain', 'Kiss', 'Sign O' The Times' and 'Batdance') and sold more than 100 million albums, Prince knew himself with every new album to reinvent. Time and again he returned as a new person, always surprising with new artistic directions and timeless thanks to his musical talent. From Madonna to Miles Davis, from Michael Jackson to Kate Bush, all the big names in popular music wanted to record with him at some point.

Since the artist's unexpected death in 2016, The Prince Estate has been digging up previously unreleased songs from The Vault, the vault that protects his precious and seemingly inexhaustible musical productivity. Thousands of pieces still lie dormant there, and each release is a global event.
