Eastman MD515CC/TV F Style Mandolin B-Stock

The Eastman MD515 is a hand carved F style mandolin that brings traditional bluegrass looks and tone within reach, and this one is offered as B stock at a friendlier price. With a solid spruce top over solid maple back and sides, it delivers the punchy, woody bark and sweet sustain that the F5 style is loved for.

Eastman has built a strong reputation for hand carved, solid wood instruments that punch well above their price, and the MD515 is a perfect example. The carved solid spruce top and carved solid maple back give it a lively, responsive voice with plenty of volume and clarity, equally at home driving bluegrass rhythm or ringing out sparkling lead lines. The classic F style body, with its signature scroll and points, wears Eastman's Classic finish for a timeless, vintage inspired look.

A maple neck with an ebony fingerboard and a 13.8" scale makes for a fast, comfortable feel, while the adjustable ebony bridge, Eastman cast aluminium tailpiece and Pingwell tuners keep it stable and easy to set up exactly how you like it.

This mandolin is offered as B stock purely because of two small dings on the back of the body. They have no effect on the sound or playability, and it otherwise looks and plays great. It comes with its Certificate of Authenticity, a hardshell case and a TFOA Passport.

This instrument has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
