Eastman MD915-BD Blonde B-Stock

The Eastman MD915 is a high end, hand carved F style mandolin, and this one comes in a striking Blonde finish and is offered as B stock at a reduced price. Built with a solid Adirondack spruce top over solid, highly flamed maple, it is a serious bluegrass instrument with the looks and tone to match.

The 900 series sits near the top of Eastman's line, hand carved from premium tonewoods and finished to a very high standard. An Adirondack spruce top is prized for its power, headroom and crisp attack, giving this mandolin a loud, punchy and articulate voice, while the highly flamed maple back and sides add brilliance and cut, with gorgeous figure dancing under the Vintage Gloss finish. The classic F style body, with its signature scroll and points, completes the traditional F5 look in an eye catching blonde.

A maple neck with an ebony fingerboard and a 13.8" scale gives a fast, comfortable feel, while the adjustable ebony bridge, cast aluminum tailpiece and Gotoh tuners keep it stable and easy to dial in. It comes in a softshell case.

This mandolin is offered as B stock because of a light finish patch on the top, just below the left f hole. It is subtle, but enough for us to class it as B stock, and it is purely a visual imperfection with no effect on the sound or playability.

This instrument has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
