Fender 1952 Telecaster Vintage Reissue Butterscotch Blonde 1988

This is a wonderful piece of Fender history, an American made 1952 Telecaster Vintage Reissue from 1988, finished in classic Butterscotch Blonde with a black pickguard. It faithfully recreates the guitar that started it all, the world's first mass produced solidbody electric, and after more than three decades it has grown into a lovely vintage instrument in its own right.

Fender's Vintage Reissue series was built to bring back the look, the feel and the tone of the golden era classics, and the '52 Telecaster is the purest expression of that idea. An ash body, a chunky one piece maple neck and a pair of bright, cutting single coils give it that unmistakable twang and bite that has defined country, blues, rock and just about everything in between.

Plugged in, it does exactly what a great Telecaster should: a bridge pickup full of snap and sparkle, a warmer, rounded neck pickup and a clarity that cuts through any mix. With its vintage style three saddle bridge and that substantial '52 neck, it feels and sounds like the real thing, because in all the ways that matter, it is.

This 1988 example is in excellent condition and still looks remarkably clean for its age. It has picked up some light scratches and a few small dents on the body, neck and pickguard, most noticeably on the back of the body and the neck, along with a couple of small lacquer chips on the fingerboard at the 2nd and 14th frets. There is also some finish reaction on the bottom of the body, most likely from contact with a stand or case. It comes with its Fender tweed hardshell case, Certificate of Authenticity, case candy, the ashtray bridge cover and a TFOA Passport.
