Fender Custom Shop 1955 Stratocaster Desert Tan over Sunburst Heavy Relic 2017

This Custom Shop Stratocaster is a tribute to the iconic guitars of the 1950s, featuring a classic look and modern playability! The guitar is part of the 2017 Time Machine collection and also marks the 30th anniversary of the Custom Shop.

Fender's Custom Shop guitars are each masterpieces with a unique character, and this Stratocaster is no exception. With its simple yet stylish appearance, this guitar beautifully revives the early years of the iconic model! Weighing just under 3 kilos, this Stratocaster is a delightfully light guitar. The body is made of ash and features a Gold Anodized pickguard, and is finished in a Desert Tan over 2 Color Sunburst.

Behind the aged exterior lies a reliable instrument with a perfect setup and top specifications to meet the high demands of today's guitarist. The maple neck features a sturdy 1954 U profile and a fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius. The hand-wound single-coil pickups deliver the beloved 50s Stratocaster sound, with improved bass response without a harsh midrange.

The guitar is in excellent condition and, apart from the relic, has acquired light signs of wear from playing, though these are naturally difficult to spot. It is clear, however, that the pickguard is a replacement, as the Shop Floor Traveler lists an Eggshell pickguard. A delightful, resonant lightweight that offers you everything you could expect from a Strat!
