Fender Mustang Bass Sonic Blue 2017

Since its introduction in 1964, the Fender Mustang Bass has grown into one of Fender's most recognizable short-scale bass models. This modern version combines the compact Mustang design with a P Bass and Jazz Bass pickup, creating a versatile and powerful sound. The split single-coil P Bass pickup provides a solid, punchy foundation, while the Jazz Bass pickup adds extra bite and character. With the master volume and tone controls and three-way switch, the various sound possibilities are easy to utilize.

The 30-inch scale length ensures a relaxed playing feel and lower string tension, while the smaller body makes the bass light and comfortable. The maple neck has a comfortable C-profile and features a 9.5-inch radius pau ferro fingerboard with 19 medium jumbo frets. Vintage-style tuning machines, a four-point neck attachment, and a chrome bridge with four saddles give the whole a classic Fender look. In doing so, the Mustang Bass PJ combines the character of the original short-scale design with the versatility expected of a modern bass.

This 2017 Mustang Bass shows only minimal signs of wear, and even still has the protective plastic on the pickguard. A particularly complete instrument for a very friendly price!
