Thanks to its playing comfort and enormous versatility, you can use the Strat in any musical genre. This 1963 Stratocaster is a beautiful example, and the guitar is an absolute masterpiece for the enthusiast!

A vintage Fender Stratocaster is a special instrument in itself, but an original example from 1963 naturally grabs our attention immediately! This is a guitar that serves as a model for the many recreations that leave Fender's Custom Shop, but you can feel and see immediately that this is the real deal. The natural wear and tear and the broken-in feel that this guitar has accumulated over the decades simply cannot be replicated, making this Stratocaster an exceptional instrument that you might only encounter once in a lifetime.

During the period in which this Stratocaster was built, Fender had also started experimenting a bit more regarding specifications; The model had already been on the market for nine years by 1963, and compared to the 1950s, the fingerboard had changed from maple to rosewood. This model is equipped with a maple neck featuring a veneered Brazilian rosewood fingerboard inlaid with clay dots that retain the narrow spacing at the 12th fret. On the headstock, we find the Spaghetti logo with the three patent numbers underneath. Kluson Single Line tuning machines ensure the guitar stays in tune.

The original 3 Color Sunburst has had a few touch-ups, but still looks simply beautiful! Furthermore, the guitar features its original Black Bottom single coils with original potentiometers, and has been fitted with a 5-way switch by luthier Lars Dalin from Oslo. He also connected the bridge pickup to the tone potentiometer, performed a refret, and made a new nut. The three-ply mint green pickguard features the characteristic crack near the neck pickup caused by material shrinkage. Unfortunately, the original tremolo arm failed at some point and has been replaced. All replaced parts are included in the case.

This beautiful vintage case was supplied in Scandinavia with the guitars imported from America. Inside, we also find a beautiful original booklet signed with the distinctive ornate ‘L’ of most likely Leo Fender himself. This Stratocaster is a dream to play for many, and is without a doubt a guitar that will be the crown jewel of any guitar collection!

Consignment.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0960/6607/7019/files/FenderStratocasterSunburst1963-3_280fdf20-3f1d-4c80-b820-1f828c0468ed.jpg?v=1781273173
