Fender Stratocaster Todd Krause 59 Stratocaster Desert Sand 2008

This Fender Stratocaster is a special one, a Custom Shop creation Master Built by Todd Krause, one of Fender's most respected Master Builders, finished in a beautiful Desert Sand and built to 1959 specifications.

A Master Built instrument sits at the very top of Fender's Custom Shop output, made start to finish by a single Master Builder rather than a team. Every detail here reflects that level of care, from the hand shaped neck to the carefully aged finish, resulting in a guitar that feels like a genuine piece of Fender history.

It is built around an alder body with a maple neck and maple fingerboard, carrying a soft V profile and a 7.25" to 12" compound radius for a feel that is vintage in spirit but comfortable right across the neck. The 25.5" scale, vintage style tuners and six saddle hardtail bridge give it a tight, focused response, while the trio of single coils, measuring 5.4k, 5.7k and 6.3k from neck to bridge, delivers that classic, chiming Stratocaster voice with plenty of sparkle and bite. The relic finish gives it the look and feel of a guitar that has been played and loved for decades.

It is in excellent condition and shows some buckle rash on the back that appears to have happened after the relic process, genuine playwear sitting on top of the aged finish. At 3 kg it is a light and lively instrument. It comes with its Certificate of Authenticity and a hardshell case.

This instrument has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
