We have something truly special once again at The Fellowship of Acoustics! To celebrate our 25th anniversary, we commissioned Gibson to build a very limited run of one of the most illustrious models in the brand’s history: the Advanced Jumbo, also known as the "Bone Crusher"!This nickname takes us back to 1936, the year that inspired this guitar. At the time, Martin’s D-28 "Herringbone" was immensely popular, and with the Advanced Jumbo "Bone Crusher," Gibson mounted a compelling challenge to its competitor.Gibson pulled out all the stops for this Advanced Jumbo! It features an Adirondack spruce top paired with a body crafted from stunning Cocobolo. The result is a guitar with a tone that resonates instantly: crisp highs, a powerful midrange, and deep, resonant bass with enough volume to ensure you’ll be heard in any setting. The details are equally impressive; the cream-colored binding adds a generous dose of style, as always. The fretboard and headstock are adorned with the signature Advanced Jumbo inlays, and the body features an elegant "firestripe" pickguard. As for playability, the guitar boasts a substantial neck with a "Historic AJ" profile, transitioning from a soft V-shape near the first frets to a rounder profile further up the neck.We are proud to celebrate our anniversary with this Gibson Advanced Jumbo! This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
