Gibson J180 Everly Brothers 1999

With a maple body and Sitka spruce top, the Everly Brothers J180 features all the decorative details that make Gibson Everly Brothers models instantly recognizable, including a glossy Ebony nitrocellulose lacquer finish, double tortoise moustache, and mother-of-pearl star inlays on the headstock and neck. The guitar also features Grover Rotomatic tuners with Keystone knobs and, thanks to the Shadow pickup, is ready for stage and studio use.

Rock and Roll Hall of Fame members Phil and Don Everly, who performed together as The Everly Brothers, were among the most popular artists in the world during the early rock era of the 1950s and 1960s. Their seamless, floating harmonies were supported by their driving rhythm parts, played on their iconic Gibson acoustic guitars.

The guitar was built in 1999 and is in very good condition. There are signs of wear and dings on the top and body, and there are also signs of wear on the pickguard. Craquelé can be found in the lacquer on the top, the side of the body near the armrest, and the back of the neck at the first frets, and the tuning machines bear the patina of 27 years of use. A true player that rewards you with a broken-in sound!
