These limited-run versions differ from the standard models in two ways. First, the Burstbucker 1 and Burstbucker 2 pickups are left uncovered and are fitted with Double Classic White bobbins and the usual Alnico 2 magnets. The second difference is the finish.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe colours are vintage variations of the standard nitrocellulose lacquer. Where the regular high-gloss nitro finishes are meant to mimic brand-new examples from the 1950s, the vintage finishes on the Double Trouble are subtly faded, much like the light aging that occurs over several years. The burst patterns vary from guitar to guitar, as each body is sprayed by hand.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eAll the familiar features that make the Les Paul Standard 50s so beloved are still here: a solid, weight-relieved mahogany body with an AA figured maple top, and a rounded 50s mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard, 22 medium jumbo frets and trapezoid inlays. It carries a classic ABR-1 Tune-O-Matic bridge, an aluminium stop bar tailpiece, Vintage Deluxe tuners with keystone buttons, and aged gold top hat knobs. The open Burstbucker 1 (neck) and Burstbucker 2 (bridge) are hand-wired with audio taper potentiometers and Orange Drop capacitors, for that classic, rich PAF-style voice. Production of the Double Trouble is limited to just 500 guitars per colour.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis 2025 example is in near mint condition, almost as good as new, with only a few very small scratches on the body.
