This 2005 Goodall Concert Jumbo pairs a solid spruce top with solid walnut back and sides, a combination that gives it a warm, rich voice with plenty of clarity. It shows the meticulous craftsmanship Goodall is known for, with refined details such as maple binding, an abalone rosette and gold Gotoh tuners with ebony buttons that give it an elegant, understated look.
James Goodall began building guitars in California in the seventies, and over the decades his small workshop has earned a reputation as one of the most respected names in handmade acoustic guitars. Goodall guitars are known for their clear, balanced sound and precise build, which has made them a favourite among discerning players and collectors alike.
The Concert Jumbo body gives the guitar a big, full sound with plenty of volume, while still feeling comfortable to play. Walnut sits somewhere between mahogany and rosewood in tone, combining warmth with a rich, articulate response, and the spruce top keeps the sound open and dynamic.
This 2005 Concert Jumbo is in very good condition and is clean overall. There are some signs of play in the form of small scratches and little dings spread across the guitar. The bridge has had a crack between the pins, and there is a repaired crack in the top behind the bridge. The guitar is now completely stable. It comes with a hardshell case and a TFOA Passport.
This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
