Iris DF Model Natural Relic

The Iris DF is named after co-founder Dale Fairbanks and is a slope shoulder dreadnought with a size comparable to Gibson's J45. With a mahogany body and Sitka spruce top, the guitar has that typical sound that will give every singer-songwriter a warm feeling!

Iris Guitars, based in Burlington, Vermont, was founded in 2018 under the wing of Circle Strings. Iris works with a team of passionate guitar enthusiasts who, under the leadership of experienced luthiers Adam Buchwald and Dale Fairbanks, build modern guitars with a vintage sound and look.

Iris guitars benefit from the vast knowledge of the luthiers who have worked on high-end instruments for Circle Strings, Froggy Bottom Guitars, and Fairbanks Guitars, among others, and as a result, Iris offers incredible value for money. The guitars feel like a faithful companion you have been playing for years, and sound truly fabulous.

To enhance the authentic feel of guitars from the golden age, Iris Guitars goes a step further with an aged finish that gives the guitars a played-in feel. On this guitar, the back, sides, and neck are finished in a matte lacquer. And to top it all off, Iris now offers the option to have the signature logo placed on the headstock in a more understated version, thanks in part to our very own Coen!

This instrument has been carefully inspected for originality, condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
