Iris OG Natural Relic

The OG is the original model that put Iris Guitars on the map. The guitar has a size reminiscent of Gibson's LG2. Thanks to its mahogany body and Sitka spruce top, the OG offers a warm and dry sound with an impressive midrange. The guitar is ideally suited for fingerstyle, but also sounds beautiful when strumming chords.

Iris Guitars, based in Burlington, Vermont, was founded in 2018 under the wing of Circle Strings. Iris works with a team of passionate guitar enthusiasts who, under the leadership of experienced luthiers Adam Buchwald and Dale Fairbanks, build modern guitars with a vintage sound and appearance.

Iris guitars benefit from the vast knowledge of the luthiers who have worked on high-end instruments for Circle Strings, Froggy Bottom Guitars, and Fairbanks Guitars, among others, and as a result, Iris offers incredible value for money. The guitars feel like a faithful companion you have been playing for years, and sound truly fabulous.

To enhance the authentic feel of guitars from their golden age, Iris Guitars goes a step further with an aged finish that gives the guitars a played-in feel. The beautiful natural finish is accompanied by a tortoise binding pickguard for decoration. On this guitar, the back, sides, and neck are finished in a matte lacquer. And to top it all off, Iris now offers the option to have the signature logo placed on the headstock in a more understated version, thanks in part to our very own Coen!

This instrument has been carefully inspected for originality, condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
