The Torres77 by Jellinghaus pays tribute to the founder of modern guitar making, bringing his legacy together in a compact parlor guitar with a distinctive character of its own. This guitar is based on a design from the second period of Antonio de Torres, the Spanish luthier who, with his fan bracing, body shape and scale length, created the blueprint for the modern classical guitar as we know it today. The top is made from moon spruce, a type of wood that, according to traditional craftsmanship, is harvested during the waning moon for enhanced stability. The combination of the lightweight spruce top with the dense and richly coloured padauk body gives the Torres77 a focused and immediate response that perfectly suits its compact parlor shape.Despite its modest parlor size, it delivers a surprisingly full sound, with singing trebles and beautiful projection. The short scale length and comfortable D-shaped neck profile make it effortless to play, whether you are exploring subtle fingerstyle pieces or classical repertoire. Supplied with a case. This instrument has been carefully inspected for originality, condition and playability, and has been set up by a luthier according to our Gold Standard setup. We make sure it arrives at your home exactly as it should: perfectly voiced, effortless to play, and ready to enjoy from the very first note.
