Kauer Daylighter Express Supreme Claro Walnut 2015

This Kauer Daylighter is without a doubt a real eye-catcher. And you won't find another of this guitar, because it features a top made of very special wood. The distinctive flamed Claro Walnut actually comes from the private collection of none other than Bob Taylor!

This beautiful piece of wood was donated by Taylor to the pedalboard builders at Salvage Custom in El Cajon, California, after which Kauer sawed the wood for them. One piece was reserved for the top of this special Daylighter Express Supreme, making this a true one of a kind!

The Daylighter Express Supreme is a semi-hollowbody with an elegant offset body shape, constructed from a Spanish cedar body and neck with the aforementioned Walnut top. The guitar has a warm sound driven by a set of Lollar Gold Foils that truly bring the guitar to life.
The guitar was built in 2015 and, in addition to light signs of wear on the pickguard, also has a few dings on the top and body. The guitar is otherwise very clean, and is simply a beautiful sight that also plays and sounds great!

This instrument has been carefully inspected for originality, condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
