The Rick Turner Renaissance RS6 brings together the best of two worlds in a single instrument: the sound of an acoustic guitar with the playability of an electric. Part of Turner's Renaissance series, it reproduces a full-range acoustic tone that excels both on stage and in the studio. A glossy cedar top is paired with a matte-finished koa body, while tortoise binding and rope purfling add a beautiful decorative touch.

The thinline body is built like a fine acoustic, with curved sides and a braced top and back, but adds a solid centre block to keep feedback under control. A Turner Timberline piezo bridge pickup delivers a full, rich amplified acoustic voice. Together, these innovative construction methods represent one of the best ways to achieve a genuine acoustic tone when the guitar is plugged in.

Light in weight and thoroughly convincing in sound, this Rick Turner is a stage instrument par excellence. Built in 2009, it plays and sounds superb.

The guitar is in very good condition. The neck has a repaired crack; it appears the crack never made it all the way through, though it remains visible from the side around the first fret. There are also a few small dings on the top that show when they catch the light. Beyond that the guitar looks and plays very nicely, and it comes in a gigbag.
