Oudendag Masterbird II White Limba Lefty

This Oudendag Masterbird II is a special left-handed guitar, built on Dutch soil. With its offset body in beautifully grained white limba and an understated natural satin finish, it has real presence without ever shouting for attention.

The choice of white limba, better known as korina, is what gives the Masterbird II much of its character. It is the same light, resonant tonewood that gave some of the most sought-after guitars of the late 1950s their warm, open and singing voice, with a clear midrange and plenty of air around every note. Here it is paired with a matching korina neck and a rosewood fingerboard, dressed with tortoise binding, white and black purfling and mother of pearl dot inlays, details that reward a closer look.

Under the hood it is built to play and to perform. A pair of Seymour Duncan '59 humbuckers deliver that classic, versatile PAF-style voice, from warm cleans to singing overdrive, wired to a simple and effective volume, tone and three-way layout. Gotoh hardware throughout, with locking tuners, a Tune-O-Matic bridge and an aluminium stop bar, keeps everything stable and in tune, while the medium C neck with its 24.75 inch scale and 12 inch radius feels familiar and comfortable from the very first chord. It comes supplied in a Gator hardshell case with a certificate of authenticity.

This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
