This Martin D28 with a Brazilian rosewood body is without a doubt one of the most remarkable guitars in our collection! This special Limited Edition combines Brazilian rosewood with Adirondack spruce for exceptional depth, clarity and projection. Built to Authentic 1937 specifications and featuring Stage 1 aging, it delivers the tone and playing experience of a genuine pre-war instrument. Only 28 examples of this model are available worldwide!

This ultra-limited Custom Shop D28 draws inspiration from the iconic 1937 models and therefore features Authentic 1937 bracing and hide glue construction. For modern convenience, it is also equipped with an adjustable truss rod, ensuring reliable performance and excellent playability. The Stage 1 aged vintage gloss finish gives the instrument the appearance and feel of a well-preserved pre-war original.

The combination of Brazilian rosewood and Adirondack spruce is considered by many to be the holy grail of tonewoods. Brazilian rosewood is renowned for its deep bass, rich overtones and complex tonal character, with excellent note definition that remains clear even in full chords. Adirondack spruce adds a wide dynamic range, powerful projection and plenty of headroom, allowing the guitar to respond equally well to delicate fingerstyle playing and forceful strumming. Together, these tonewoods produce a broad, layered sound with exceptional dynamics, articulation and sustain.
