Martin D42 Modern Deluxe 2023

The D-42 Modern Deluxe is a fresh take on Martin vintage craftsmanship. This guitar is packed with custom features and modern technology that truly need to be seen, felt, and heard!

The vintage-inspired elements include a Vintage Tone System spruce top, a dovetail neck joint, and natural protein glue construction, resulting in the rich, fully aged Martin tone that has inspired generations of players.

The appearance is unlike anything else in Martin’s production line, featuring European flamed maple binding on the body, fingerboard, and headstock. The elegant gold frets, gold open-gear tuners, and a beautifully detailed Torch logo inlaid in mother-of-pearl on the headstock complete the luxurious aesthetic.

Modern innovations include gold Liquidmetal bridge pins with abalone dots and a carbon fiber composite bridge plate that enhances volume and projection. The newly designed neck shape is slightly asymmetrical, providing maximum comfort across the entire fingerboard. This guitar is anything but standard!

This Martin was built in 2022 and shows light playwear on the body and neck. Upon closer inspection, a small finish imperfection can be found beneath the binding on the bass side of the neck. Additionally, the top shows a few tiny dents and light scratches. There is also a small area near the heel of the guitar where a minor air inclusion under the finish is visible. Despite these cosmetic details, this Martin remains very clean and is in excellent condition. The guitar comes complete with a TFOA passport and a TKL case.

This instrument has been carefully inspected for originality, condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
