Ernie Ball Music Man celebrates this milestone with a limited 50th Anniversary edition in two exclusive gold finishes, with the Molten Gold version limited to just 300 pieces worldwide!
The StingRay was introduced in 1976 and changed the world of bass forever. It was one of the first basses to feature active electronics, designed by Leo Fender and Tom Walker, and later further developed by Ernie Ball Music Man. Since then, the StingRay has set the standard for a bold, forward-thinking bass tone for five decades. This reputation has been earned on stages worldwide, in the hands of bassists across virtually every genre imaginable.
This anniversary edition is built with a poplar body and a roasted flamed maple neck with an ebony fingerboard, featuring gold dot inlays and glow-in-the-dark side markers. The neodymium humbucker delivers a powerful signal with a wide dynamic range, while the 3-band active preamp provides plenty of tonal shaping possibilities.
The specially engraved 50th Anniversary bridge and the fully gold hardware package complete the look. This Music Man comes in a deluxe hardshell case with a certificate of authenticity.
