The Nacho Whiteguard Rosewood is a love letter to the early-sixties Telecaster, built by Nacho Baños, widely regarded as the world's foremost authority on these magical fifties and sixties guitars. Finished in a beautifully aged blonde, it has the tone, the feel and the character that simply cannot be found in modern mass production.

Nacho Baños earned his reputation the hard way. As the author of The Blackguard Book and the more recent The Pinecaster Book, he has studied, documented and handled more original vintage Telecasters than almost anyone alive, and that knowledge flows into every instrument he builds. These are artisan-made tributes to the original design, put together with an obsessive attention to detail that places them a clear step above even the high-end models of the bigger names. It is no coincidence that a player of Julian Lage's calibre is so often seen with a Nacho.

This example follows the classic early-sixties recipe: an ash body under an aged blonde nitrocellulose finish, paired with a maple neck and a darkened Indian rosewood slab board with clay dots. The medium C profile sits beautifully in the hand and makes string bending effortless, while the early-sixties style bridge with grooved steel saddles and Nacho's own vintage-voiced pickups complete the picture.

Plugged in it does everything you want from a great Telecaster: a bridge pickup with that cutting, twangy snap, a warm and woody neck pickup, and a midrange that sits perfectly in a band. It feels like a guitar that has been played and loved for decades, which is exactly the experience Nacho sets out to recreate.

This 2026 example is in near mint condition. Beyond its aged finish it shows only very minimal signs of play, and it sounds absolutely fantastic.
