Where the standard McCarty models kept a solid body, the Hollowbody line carved out a genuinely hollow chamber, pairing a carved maple top with mahogany back and sides for extra air and resonance. The Piezo option, added to the lineup in 1999, gave players a way to blend that acoustic-leaning hollowbody character with PRS's signature humbucker tone in a single instrument.\u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003eThis example carries a 10-Top rated maple top — PRS's highest visual grade, reserved for maple with clean, consistent figure across the whole top — finished in Vintage Yellow.
