PRS McCarty 594 Trans Amber 2017

PRS introduced the McCarty model in 1994 as a tribute to Ted McCarty, one of the most important figures in the history of the electric guitar. Following this successful model, the McCarty 594 was added in 2015, featuring a slightly longer scale length (24.594 inches) and more tonal options. The goal: to create a vintage sound with the reliability of modern PRS production.

This PRS shines with its beautifully flamed maple top finished in a transparent Amber finish. The 'Pattern Vintage' mahogany neck features a rosewood fingerboard with the distinctive 'Birds' inlay. Whether you are looking for rich, authentic, vintage humbucking tones or nuanced, sweet single-coil tones, the McCarty 594 can seamlessly master both tonal ranges thanks to the McCarty III pickups and the push/pull function on the tone controls.

The guitar was built in 2017 and has various signs of play and dings on the top and bindings. There are also multiple dings and some buckle wear on the back of the body. Additionally, we see the red lacquer bleeding into the finish of the top in the cutaway.

However, the most striking feature is the repair to the headstock. A newly inserted piece of wood is visible around the tuning peg of the high E string, and the lacquer has been touched up at the same time. The guitar is in very good condition and comes with a TFOA passport in a case.
