Santa Cruz 1929 000 Mahogany 2015

A gem in the Santa Cruz range is the 000 guitar, a masterpiece that continues the tradition of its 12-fret predecessor, the legendary OM guitar. With a body crafted entirely from mahogany, the 000 radiates warmth and depth in both sound and aesthetics!

The design of this instrument is a tribute to the simple and elegant instruments made for players who weathered the Great Depression of 1929. Vintage-inspired elements include the scalloped bracing, a period-correct script-style logo tastefully executed in ivoroid, and a beautifully crafted ebony pyramid bridge, bridge pins, tuning pegs, headstock, and fingerboard. The rosette is an exercise in understated elegance, featuring a rich tortoise ring nestled in a vintage ivoroid border.

Extending the body to the 12th fret gives this masterpiece a larger body, resulting in overwhelming volume and bass response! From delicate finger picking to powerful chords, this guitar responds to every touch with sublime clarity and resonance.

This 2015 Santa Cruz is in very good condition. There are some signs of wear and small dings on the top, and some very light buckle wear on the back of the body. A lacquer repair has also been performed on the binding of the treble side of the top, which is clearly visible under UV light but virtually invisible in normal light. Finally, the matte finish on the back of the neck has become glossy from playing, a sign that we are dealing with a good guitar here!

This instrument has been carefully inspected for originality, condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
