Santa Cruz OM Custom Bearclaw German Spruce Indian Rosewood 2017

A Santa Cruz OM is already special, but this one also features a German Bearclaw spruce top adorned with Cowboy Rope inlay!

In the 1920s, the Orchestra Model was originally intended as a large guitar that could be heard above other orchestral instruments, hence the name OM. While this model served its purpose, its relatively large body was soon overshadowed by the mighty dreadnought. Santa Cruz was one of the first modern builders to successfully reintroduce this now smaller favorite at the beginning of the 1980s!

The top of this OM is made of Bearclaw spruce, a wood known for its beautiful grain pattern and strong tonal capabilities. The bright resonance of the German Bearclaw spruce top provides a full and dynamic sound, complemented by Indian rosewood, resulting in a supremely rich tone!

The sound of this guitar is not only defined by volume; the nuance of fingerstyle playing is preserved, allowing refined solos to be played with ease through the guitar’s full voice. Fingerstyle nuances remain well-defined, but this OM also excels for strumming! Additionally, the guitar features the beautiful Cowboy Rope purfling on the body, and the pearl dot inlays on the ebony fingerboard with ebony headstock overlay complete the look.

This 2017 Santa Cruz OM is in excellent condition and looks very well cared for. It shows only minimal signs of use on the body, neck, and pickguard. The guitar comes with a TFOA certificate in a luxury case.
