The Grand Auditorium body shape, introduced by Taylor in 1994, was designed as a versatile middle ground: larger than a concert model, yet more compact than a dreadnought. As a result, it is equally at home with powerful strumming and delicate fingerstyle playing, making it Taylor's most versatile body shape. The 114ce brings that philosophy within easy reach.

The torrefied spruce top is the key to its sound. The roasting process removes moisture from the wood, giving the guitar the warm, broken-in character that would normally take years of playing to develop. When plugged in, Taylor's Expression System 2 delivers a natural amplified tone. It comes complete with a gig bag.
