Taylor 914e Gold Label 2025

The Taylor 914e Gold Label is about as luxurious as a modern steel-string gets. The Gold Label series is Taylor's tribute to classic American craftsmanship reimagined with modern engineering, and the 914e sits right at the top of it: a true flagship, built with the finest materials and the company's most advanced thinking about tone.

At its core is Taylor's Super Auditorium body, a larger, rounder shape designed for depth, warmth and a genuinely orchestral range. It pairs a torrefied Adirondack spruce top, baked to open up and add midrange sweetness and headroom, with lush Honduran rosewood back and sides for rich overtones and a powerful low end. Taylor's fanned V-Class bracing underneath it all adds volume, long sustain and remarkable pitch accuracy right up the neck.

The Neo-Tropical mahogany neck, capped with an ebony fingerboard, carries one of Taylor's cleverest features: the Action Control Neck, which lets the string height be adjusted without removing the neck or the strings. Combined with the long-tenon neck joint, it makes for an instrument that is both deeply resonant and effortlessly set up to play.

As you would hope at this level, it is beautifully appointed, with grained ivoroid binding, a Honduran rosewood and paua rosette, Continental mother-of-pearl inlays and an ebony-faced paddle headstock. When it is time to plug in, the LR Baggs Element VTC pickup captures that natural voice faithfully, ready for the stage or the studio.

This 2025 example is in near mint condition, almost as good as new, with only a few very small scratches on the pickguard and some light marks on the body. It comes supplied in a Taylor Gold Label hardshell case.
