Taylor T5Z Standard Black 2013

This 2013 Taylor T5z Standard brings the hybrid spirit of the T5 into a more compact format that electric players will feel right at home with. A sitka spruce top over a thinline hollow sapele body, finished in deep gloss black, gives it a sleek look. Two humbuckers and an acoustic body sensor cover everything from warm acoustic tones to clean and driven electric sounds, while the five way switch lets you move between them in an instant.

Taylor unveiled the T5z at NAMM in 2014 as a smaller take on the original T5, designed to feel instantly familiar to electric players. Its body is scaled down and jumbo frets on a 12" radius fingerboard make string bending easier. The electronics remain just as versatile as on the T5. This guitar was built in 2013, just before the official introduction, which makes it one of the early examples of the model.

This 2013 T5z is in excellent condition. It shows some signs of play in the form of small scratches and dings, mostly on the body, which has quite a few tiny dings and scratches. What also stands out is that it has three strap buttons side by side on the back of the body. It comes with a case and a TFOA Passport.

This guitar has been carefully inspected for condition and playability, then set up to our Gold Standard by a luthier. We make sure it arrives in your hands exactly as it should: sounding its best, playing effortlessly and ready to be enjoyed from the very first note.
