Thomas Guitars is a small workshop in Bolzano, Italy, dedicated to the art of handcrafted guitars. They produce high-quality instruments, selecting only the finest materials for this meticulous process.

For instance, the spruce used for the soundboard is sourced locally from Northern Italy—the same region where master luthiers like Stradivari and Guarneri obtained their wood. Exotic tonewoods such as Madagascar rosewood, Red Heart, Swietenia mahogany, and African ebony are used for the rest of the instrument, making Thomas guitars a visual delight as well.

Construction involves a blend of inventive and traditional techniques; each model features a specific bracing pattern designed for optimal tone. The necks, meanwhile, are crafted using the time-honored Spanish method to eliminate unwanted tension within the instrument, resulting in a guitar that is exceptionally stable and easy to play.

The beautifully balanced sound—featuring assertive highs layered over controlled bass and mid-range frequencies—appeals to players of all styles. The guitar shows an elongated ding on the treble side of the upper bout of the top and a small ding on the bass side of the neck near the second fret. Nevertheless, the instrument is in very clean condition and is undoubtedly of the highest quality.
