Gibson ES355 Centennial Sunburst 1994
In 1994 werd elke maand één Centennial-gitaarmodel geproduceerd door Gibson om hun 100ste verjaardag te vieren. De ES355 was de gitaar voor augustus. De productie was beperkt tot 100 instrumenten en de nummering was opeenvolgend van 1894-1994, wat deze gitaar nummer 69 maakt. Alleen al vanwege hun historische betekenis zijn deze gitaren waardevol, maar daarnaast zijn ze ook gedecoreerd met juwelen details die nog nooit eerder op een elektrische gitaar beschikbaar waren.
Deze bijzondere kenmerken omvatten een 11 pt. diamant op de 'i' van het Gibson logo, 5 pt. diamant op de 22K vergulde 'top hat' knoppen met 100 Year Anniversary logo, 100th Anniversary banner inleg op de toets en 22K vergulde jubileum Orville Gibson munt op de achterkant van de kop.
Naast al deze luxe pracht en praal is dit ook gewoon een hele gave ES355 met aparte mono en stereo ingangen, twee humbuckers en Varitone schakelaar. Hij heeft wat gebruikelijke speelsporen op de body, maar hij verkeert nog steeds in excellente conditie.

Production was limited to 100 instruments and numbering was sequential from 1894-1994, which makes this guitar number 69. Valuable in their historical significance alone, these guitars featured jeweled appointments never before availabale on any electric guitar.
These special appointments included an 11 pt. diamond on the Gibson headstock logo, 5 pt. diamond detends on the 22K gold plated top hat knobs with 100 Year Anniversary logo, 100th Anniversary banner inlay on the fretboard and 22K gold plated anniversary Orville Gibson coin embedded on the back of the headstock.Â
Besides all this luxurious splendor, this is also simply a really cool ES355 with separate mono and stereo inputs, two humbuckers and Varitone switch. It has some usual playwear on the body but it is still in excellent condition.
