Bill Meeker and David Haines started American Showster in 1986 out of New Jersey by building custom guitars that pull their design language from the world of hot rod motorcycles and classic cars. The company produced custom instruments in the US until 2004.
This 'The Biker' guitar was built in the 1990s with the motorcycle enthusiast in mind. The design and craftsmanship of this guitar was fashioned after the gas tank of early model choppers. It even has a metal gas cap on the bass side! It is fueled by three single coils pickups and together with the volume- and tone control, the 5-way switch can be used to shift between gears.
The body has some light playwear, but it is really clean for its age. Therefore, it is also in excellent condition and makes for a real unique and cool addition to your collection! Comes in a gigbag.
