Blazer AS17 L5 Style Archtop Sunburst 1993

An AS17 Archtop made in 1993 by the legendary Rudolph Blazer, better known as a duo under the name Blazer & Henkes Guitars. Rudolph Blazer started his career as a luthier in 1971 with a large luthier in Germany. After years of repair work, he started his own workshop in Stuttgart. In 1980 he moved to Tübingen to start building traditional steelstring guitars. This AS17 Archtop was ordered in 1992 and delivered in 1993.
The guitar has an arched spruce top and beautifully flamed maple back and sides. The neck is also made from flamed maple, and is paired with an ebony fingerboard with mother-of-pearl inlays. The guitar is finished all around with a cream binding. The ebony pickguard contains the volume control of the mini humbucker in the neck position.
The AS17 has some small dings and playwear all around, and the lacquer on the body has light weatherchecking. However, these small marks do not depreciate the very good condition of the guitar. Comes in a sturdy case.
