Lowden F50C Sinker Redwood African Blackwood TFOA 20th Anniversary
De Lowden 50 Series is het allerbeste wat Lowden te bieden heeft, het neusje van de spreekwoordelijke zalm, en dat geldt uiteraard ook voor dit specifieke instrument. Dit is de laatste van zes custom gebouwde gitaren ter gelegenheid van onze twintigste verjaardag. Speciaal voor ons heeft Lowden deze gitaar voorzien van het bronzen 'Lowden' logo op de kop en wordt hij geleverd in een custom koffer.
Deze F50C gebruikt uniek en spectaculair Mastergrade African Blackwood voor de achterkant en zijkanten en heeft een 'figured' koa bevel en een cutaway. Zowel visueel als qua geluid een prachtige en rijke klankhoutsoort. Maar daar houdt het niet op!
Het bovenblad is gemaakt van Sinker Redwood. Sinker Redwood stamt uit Californië en wordt gewonnen uit 1000 tot 2000 jaar oude bomen die natuurlijk omgevallen zijn en eeuwenlang bewaard zijn gebleven onder water. De klank is adembenemend. De typische herkenbare piano-achtige Lowden klank is zeer goed te onderscheiden door het unieke warme, gedefinieerde en rijke klank-pallet van het African Blackwood.Â
De body is smaakvol afgewerkt met een ebbenhouten binding en prachtige details zoals de abalone rozet en mahonie/esdoorn/rocklite purfling. De 5-delige mahonie/palissander hals met 'Standard GL' vorm ontmoet de body bij de 14e fret, terwijl de met esdoorn ombonden ebben toets zijn weg vervolgt over het bovenblad tot hij het klankgat ontmoet met een prachtige welving.
Zeer geschikt voor fingerstyle en alternatieve stemmingen zoals alle Lowdens, een instrument van wereldklasse.

This F50C uses unique and spectacularly Mastergrade African Blackwood for the back and sides creating a visual and tonal landscape of unheard or -seen proportions. It also has a figured koa bevel and a cutaway. But it does not end there!
The top is made from Mastergrade Sinker Redwood. Sinker Redwood stems from California and originates from those beautiful often 1000 to 2000 year old trees which are only used when they have fallen naturally. The 'Sinker' designations tells you it's been on the banks of river for at least 100 years. The sound is breathtaking. The typical signature piano-like Lowden character is still present through the unique warm, defined and rich sound-palette the blackwood offers.
The body is tastfully appointed with ebony binding, the abalone rosette and mahongay/maple/rocklite body purfling. The 5-piece mahogany/rosewood neck with standard GL shape meets the body at the 14th fret, while the maple bound ebony fretboard continues it's way along the top until it meets the soundhole at the 21st fret where it has been finished with a graceful wave-shape.
Most ideally suited for fingerstyle and drop tunings like most Lowdens, a world-class instrument.
