Lowden LSE II Stage Edition Rosewood Spruce 1992
The LSE II was "a limited stage edition in the 1990s" according to George Lowden. The LSE II was designed as a stage and recording studio guitar. Nowadays, the successor of this model is available in the form of the '32 SE'.
That means that this is a great gigging guitar that sounds as good plugged in as it does acoustically. The volume and tone control are just for show at the moment, because the piezo pickup is replaced with a K&K transducer pickup. The slimmer body and cutaway make it a very comfortable guitar that's very easy to play.
The styling is in typical Lowden fashion with maple binding and rosewood/maple/mahogany purfling and rosette. It looks very clean for its age, but is has of course gotten some playwear and dings along the way. The neck also has one spot of worn lacquer. It is still in very good condition and comes in a hardshell case.
