Santa Cruz OM Grand 2021
Het idee voor de OM Grand kwam van winkel-eigenaar Harry Tuft die Richard Hoover verzocht om een custom instrument te bouwen voor het 50-jarig bestaan van zijn zaak. Dit model is gebaseerd op het historische 0000 model, en tijdens het maken van de mallen voor deze nieuwe body-vorm realiseerde Richard zich dat deze grotere OM een perfecte toevoeging zou zijn aan de standaard modellen van Santa Cruz.
Deze OM Grand bevat de combinatie van Indiaas palissander voor de klankkast met een Sitka sparren bovenblad. Deze combinatie van klankhoutsoorten geven deze gitaar een dynamisch en vol karakter, maar komen daarnaast ook het uiterlijk zeer ten goede.Â
De kracht van de OM Grand is niet beperkt tot volume alleen. In de soms ingetogen aanwezigheid van solo fingerstyle spel, zorgt de inherente kracht van deze gitaar voor een vol en gedragen klank, die minder inspanning vereist zonder verlies van nuance.
Met enkel wat kleine speelsporen en dings ziet deze OM Grand uit 2021 er nog ontzettend schoon uit en verkeert hij ook in excellente conditie. Er is ook een K&K Trinity pickup ingebouwd voor extra veelzijdigheid. Inclusief een koffer met TFOA paspoort.

The idea for the OM Grand sprung from the mind of shop-owner Harry Tuft who asked Richard Hoover to build him a custom instrument to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of his store. The idea was based on the historic 0000 model, and in preparing the templates for this new body size, Richard saw this enhanced sized OM as a fine addition to the stellar line-up of SCGC standard models, and the concept of the OM Grand was born.
This OM Grand contains the combination of Indian rosewood for the back and sides with a Sitka spruce top. This combination of tonewoods give this guitar an exceptionally dynamic and clear character, but also gives it a classy appearance.
The strength of the OM Grand isn’t limited to sheer volume. In the sometimes restrained presence of solo fingerstyle playing, the inherent power of this guitar will generate a forceful bloom, requiring less effort with no loss of nuance.
With just some light playwear and very small dings on the top, this OM Grand looks really clean and is in excellent condition. It also has a K&K Trinity pickup for more versatility and the possibility to record its amazing tone. Includes a hardshell case with TFOA passport.
