After the unprecedented success of the acoustic guitars, Collings introduced three electric models at NAMM in the summer of 2006, including the City Limits. This version is #12 from the series of prototypes, and is therefore part of a very special series of instruments. Like every Collings, this City Limits is also of the highest quality in terms of finish, playability and sound!
The quilted maple top makes this City Limits an absolute eye-catcher, with the subtle sunburst giving the beautiful wood that little bit of extra depth. The mahogany body has graceful contours and, in combination with the relatively low weight, makes the guitar an extremely comfortable guitar. In terms of details, this guitar is richly provided with ivoroid; it can be found in the shape of the control buttons, tuning buttons, bindings and cover plates.
This Collings City Limits from 2006 has light playwear and two small paint repairs on the top, as well as light playwear on the back of the body. Furthermore, the buttons on the tuners have been replaced, but the original ones are included. However, the guitar is exceptionally clean and comes with TFOA passport in a TKL hardshell case.
