    Catalinbread Epoch Boost

    Sommige van de meest eerbiedwaardige gitaargoden vertrouwden op een oude tape echo unit om hun legendarische klanken te bereiken. Dit apparaat is de Maestro Echoplex EP-3. Sommige gitaristen maakten veel gebruik van het echo-effect, anderen sleepten er een mee naar elk optreden, alleen vanwege de magische voorversterker. De Epoch Boost vangt diezelfde magische voorversterker in een klein en betrouwbaar pedaal.

     
    In de winkel noemen we de Epoch Boost een "mastering pedaal", omdat het klinkt als je basistoon, maar dan tot in de perfectie bewerkt door een mastering engineer. Dit wordt bereikt door gebruik te maken van dezelfde interne circuits als een echte EP-3, van de NOS Orange Drop condensatoren tot de output mixer stage die fungeert als een rudimentaire frequentieselector - het is er allemaal.
     
    Catalinbread is zo vrij geweest om het interne voltage op te voeren tot 22 volt, net als bij de originele EP-3, waardoor je een ongeëvenaarde headroom en helderheid krijgt. Binnenin hebben ze een schakelbare hi-Z input buffer ingebouwd voor als je de Epoch Boost als je enige pedaal wil gebruiken (maak je geen zorgen, we zullen niet oordelen). De Boost-regelaar geeft je gewoon de EP-3 toon als hij uitstaat, maar voegt tot 20dB kristalheldere boost toe als je hem aanzwengelt. En geloof ons, dat zul je willen.
